BRAND GROWTH—

Referral adoption and life-cycle refresh

The mission of the Faire Growth Pod is to ensure retailers have access to the brands and products they need by efficiently sourcing high-quality brands, demonstrating the value of Faire, and motivating them to join our platform.

Our retailer-to-brand (R2B) and brand-to-brand (B2B) referral programs are essential in driving this mission forward. They help identify new brand leads, inform First Year Value (FYV) scores, and incentivize prospective brands to activate on Faire. However, referral program usage had been steadily declining due to low referrer retention, decreased engagement from new customers, and the saturation of active brands on Faire. Compounding this, the in-product experience hadn’t been updated in years, leading to inconsistencies with our core product.

To reverse this trend, we launched a comprehensive overhaul of the referral programs, rethinking and redesigning every touchpoint—from the email lifecycle to in-product landing pages—to drive adoption and better align with Faire’s user experience. I led the design effort on this initiative alongside a senior PM and engineering lead with a team of front-end and back-end developers.

  • Faire began in 2017 with a simple vision: to help small businesses come together to compete on a more level playing field with the likes of Walmart and Amazon.

Today, Faire is the online marketplace where retailers discover their next bestsellers from independent brands across the globe.

  • As the lead designer on this project, I collaborated closely with a Senior PM to drive the feature from concept to completion. I led the entire process—shaping strategy, designing the solution, and overseeing implementation and testing—ensuring a seamless and impactful execution end-to-end.
